Account Recovery Without a Saved Key
Saving your Recovery Key during account creation is critical; losing it may prevent permanent access to your account.
- If you forgot or did not initially save the Recovery Key, you can export a private key from the app:
- Go to Account Settings
- Click Export under “Export Private Key”
- Enter your password
- If you have been logged out without a saved Recovery Key, access to your account is permanently lost.
Certificate Claiming Issues
If participants experience difficulties claiming a certificate or badge:
- Ensure your Certifika account was created using the email address associated with your event registration.
- If your email needs updating, contact your event organizer to correct the information.
- Confirm that the claim period is active.
- Check that your Certifika app is updated to the latest version.
For event owners:
- Ensure participants provided the same email address they used to create their Certifika account.
- Check if the claim period is active and the event has been properly set up in the console.
QR Code Scanning Problems
If a QR code does not scan properly:
- When claiming a certificate, only Certifika’s in-app QR scanner can be used.
- Make sure the QR code is clear, unblurred, and fully visible.
- Request a soft copy of the Event QR from the event owner and upload the QR through Certifika’s in-app QR scanner.
- Confirm that your certificate or badge is still valid and claimable.
Deleting a Certifika Account
To delete your account: In the Certifika app, go to Account Settings and find the Delete this Account button.
